Has Julia Gillard caused so much damage that you have lost the respect to the role of the PM?

News & PoliticsUnfortunately the damage is now done so many lies have been told and so many promises broken. It' hard to believe that anyone has any respect left for the role of PM.

I think that politicians worldwide seem to think that lying is acceptable nowadays. . . . . . . . .

She is a political pariah who has damaged the Labour Party for years to come. It does appear to me that she was and still is prepared to do anything to get an maintain her position as PM even tell gross untruths. A classic sycopath prepared to do anything to achieve her goals regardless of the damage whe causes. Then she expresses confusion that people are upset at her actions. She believing that she has done nothing wrong.

Liar, back stabber, manipulator, drives me mad listening to her talk, can't stand her lack of honesty, loyalty or worthiness to be our Australian Prime Minister.

I think she has definitely disrepected the role, really soldout for it. Although Prime minister is not like the president of a republic, the position really doesn't come with any more power than any other minister. . . Except holding the title of the PM and so being the leading representative of Australia. . . . .Perhaps if the media stopped running these faux presidential campaigns then leadership rubbish like whats happening now wouldn't occur. . .

Both Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd have made the labor party a farce.Julia has lost all credibility and nothing she can do or say can bring it back.It she had the good of the country at heart and not just herself she would call an election immediately.

No - any lessening of respect is for the person of Julia Gillard, not for the office of Prime Minister.

Gillard's behaviour and ego are a blight on the position of Prime Minister. The Australian public deserve much better. She is the worst Prime Minister I have ever witnessed, even allowing for Whitlam.
