Our question this week is: Kendall and Kylie Jenner have received backlash for their new line of T-shirts that show their faces superimposed over images of musicians including Notorious BIG and Tupac Shakur. Is this backlash justified? Do you buy celebrity-branded products?

Winners will be announced within 2 weeks from launch of Topic, and bonus points credited to member accounts via direct credit.

When you have no talent you need to piggyback on the assumed talents of others. Then to expect the public to pay to walk around advertising your brand, which isn't even original, but a mashed-up rip-off! No way.

NO I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT SUCH A TEE SHIRT - JUST ANOTHER WAY TO CAPITALISE ON THE YOUTH OF TODAY.
YOU CAN BE SURE THEY WILL HAVE AN EXORBADENT PRICE.
STILL WE HAVE TO KEEP THESE CELEBS IN DRUG MONEY ??

Sounds like a breach of copyright. Are they trying to pretend they are these artists? Or have talent? I buy clothing with my favourite artists on it, but they use their own faces.

I haven't brought celebrity-branded products for years, when I was young and a fan of course but now days besides the cost is way too high do I really want to walk around with someone else's image on my chest. No.

They've definitely breached the copyright of the original T-Shirt designers and Artist's own brand, for which the royalties would surely be paid? The Jenner's need to come up with their own designs to make money from.

Yes the backlash is warranted. By superimposing their images they are being part of the current trend of not acknowledging or getting permission from original artists..this includes downloading their music, using part of it for own songs. You need permission to use other artist's designs/labels/music etc. I don't necessarily buy celebrity-branded products unless it is exactly what I want...value for money is my priority!

Doesn't really worry me. They can do whatever takes their fancy. It's not for me to judge.
