Absolutely! Not only does it promote fitness, but boosts confidence, encourages team work, instills a sense of achievement,
and introduces kids to a world outside their school community. It also reinforces the message of winning isn't everything, as long as they participate and try their hardest and have fun whilst doing so!

sport is a good way to cultivate physical health as well learn socialisation skills from interaction with others. In saying that the competitive side of sport can be a turn off for some people so this needs careful consideration. Some sports are more suited than others so this may need a filter too for some youngsters who are lacking in confidence.

It is better to be physically active rather than being in their room crouching with a pc/laptop all the time.

Extremely important. They learn social skills, life skills and teamwork. Plus it gets them out the house!

Very important. It helps with confidence, social and health of a child. But I find the cost of playing sports or to be part of a club are getting beyond what people can afford which is a shame.

Sport is important for health, self-esteem and fun when it comes to children's development. Teaching fairness, collaboration and teamwork.

It is very important for kids to be involved with some sort of sporting activity. Not only for health and fitness, but also for their emotional health, self esteem snd self worth. So much better than being stuck in front of a screen! Reply
