Toluna Tips: How do de-stress and stay happy?

This year we would like to include a monthly advice section in our magazine, where we highlight the advice and tips shared by our own team and our members about specific topics. As usual, if your comment is featured in our magazine, you’ll receive 300 points.

Our topic this month is about different ways to de-stress and live a happy life. Reducing stress in your life can be very beneficial to your overall health. Here are some ways that members of the Toluna Team de-stress:

“I go for a walk in a park or somewhere where I can be surrounded by nature”

“I’ve found that working out every day helps a lot”

“If I’m stressed at work, I’ll do some breathing exercises for 5-10 minutes, just to clear my mind and re-focus”

I know it might sound silly, but sitting outside at night when there's no cars or anyone else around and all I have for company is the moon and the stars along with a cool breeze. It always helps me calm down and chill out from anxious thoughts. I think it's such a beautiful thing to be alone with the moon and stars, or even share the beauty of the night sky with a friend or family member.

Connect with nature, whether it's gardening, being in a green space, patting my pet, listening to nature sounds. Doing some type of body-based movement that is designed to help you physically and non-physically, like Yoga and Qi Gong... and dancing to music that makes me feel upbeat.

Listen to some music helps. I also enjoy colouring the Adult colour books they are good for mindfulness and relaxing.

It depends on time and the stress for me. I like to read a book with no noise (or as little as posdible!) or go catch up with a good friend. Im always cheered when I am around my besties.

I feel like everyone is quite different when it comes to de-stressing, some would do relaxing things but as for me I listen to angry music to get all my emotions, anxiety and stress out. Sometimes even just jump around.
