Toluna's ANZ Road Trip: Western Australia
Closed

We're more than half way through our trip, are you still with us? Today we've arrived in Western Australia, and this state is so big and diverse, we don't know where to begin! There are the magnificent gorges and rock formations in The Kimberley region in the north of the state. And in the south is Western Australia's wine region, with over 150 wineries.

However, it's clear that the coast is an important part of WA - after all, there is a lot of coastline to explore! You could feed the dolphins in Shark Bay or check out shipwrecks and maritime museums. But let's talk about beaches for a while...we think Western Australia has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! There's world famous Cable Beach, Ningaloo Reef and Lucky Bay - just to name a few.

Which beach in WA would you recommend, or would like to visit most? When on holiday, do you prefer relaxing on a beach or exploring cities, landmarks and other attractions? Answer this topic to receive 300 points, and you could also be featured in our upcoming video postcard!

Join our road trip and win some points and prizes along the way! Keep track of our journey at our blog: http://tolu.na/l/z4F9SiAs6

Kalgoorlie the gold town thriving through adversity and the locals still get some gold out off the ground and there are mining companies still making their fortunes there. Freemantle known for its yachting fraternity and Margaret River another vineyard area will lead you further south on your way to South Australia.

Western Australia feels even further away than a lot of international destinations from the east coast, so I haven't made it there yet. But it seems like it's worth the trip. Definitely another place to put on the to-do list.

I have never been to Western Australia, but I normally prefer sightseeing in cities when I go on holiday

Haven't been to any beaches in WA, but they look amazing. I'm not a big tropical island/beach-goer type when it comes to holidays. I prefer exploring historical sites and buildings, but sitting on a beach and snorkeling does have its appeal sometimes

I'd love to visit Cable Beach. When I'm on holiday I like to relax on a beach but I can't do it for the whole holiday, I also like to explore and learn about the place I'm staying at.

A family favourite place to visit for us is Guilderton. We love relaxing here and staying at the local caravan park weigher in a tent or motor home.

Cable beach sounds amazing as do they all and I would love to visit WA. I enjoy relaxing and exploring, finding that balance in between.
