An email from Coles tells me its 99 days to Christmas, advising Coles has been preparing 6 months in advance to ensure no Christmas shortages in their stores. Do you have any concerns about shortages & are you Christmas food shopping early?

I assume Woolies, Aldi & other supermarkets at doing their best to get ready for Christmas 2020, & maybe are suggesting, as the Coles email, online ordering/click & collect, to make sure you don't miss out on Christmas goodies. I admit I haven't even thought about it yet but this email got me thinking of perhaps drawing up my list of items.

Do you have any concerns about their being a shortage of what you might need for Christmas, in the supermarket/store(s) of your choice? Will you be shopping online for these items or using click & collect whether you have in the past or not? Are you starting/have you been collecting non-perishables already for Christmas meal(s)?

No I am not worried. If there is a shortage just have to make do. I always love the rush just before Christmas in shopping.

It is not about businesses not having enough stock, it is about getting the stock out to the stores, which will be a major issue, once Melbourne opens up, it will e logistic issue, so who knows what will happen

Haven’t started buying any food for Christmas yet but we do purchase presents throughout the year. I am a little worried about shortages but hopefully can get everything we need.

Haven't really thought about Christmas shopping (food or gifts) yet. So much going on that is taking up my priorities at the moment. I will just enjoy time spent with loved ones more than anything else this year.

I leave my shopping until a couple of days before Christmas. We don't do the big family gatherings these days. Its just too expensive and I have one of those families that if you ask any of them to bring a plate of something with them, they simply not interested. I've spent the last couple of Christmases alone with just my boys and Dad.

I could have anywhere from 4 people to 14 at Christmas(Melbourne) so I really can't buy too much ahead or I may have to travel to visit others instead. I think I am going to be very busy around mid-December.
