The day has been OK for the most part, but this morning was frustrating due to all the screen outs. I did get all the things I wanted to get done completed, so that was a success for me. This afternoon I listened to classical music, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Holst The Planets, and Greig's Peer Gynt Suite. While I was listening to them, I remembered a time in 1981 when some slightly pepped up classical music made it to number two in the UK singles chart. I have said it before, the charts can often amaze people with what gets to the top. Here is the Single version of The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's hit Hooked On Classics. It was, and still is a bit of an odd hit for the charts, but there is no predicting what will sell well. The record was produced by that well known label K-Tel, famous for all their cheap compilation albums in the 1960s, and 1970s. I thought the lady dealing with broken knicker elastic was a real classic, get rid of them, and keep on dancing :-) It also made the point that Mexicans do dance on their hats.

OK give me time to hide, but what do you think of this record ?
