Fill up quick! Petrol prices are on the way up...

While filling up the tank today, the service station attendant was telling me that petrol prices are about to skyrocket!

Apparently the brewing trouble in the South China Sea, is going to lead to rising petrol prices very soon (the attendant said they'd already received indication that increased pricing was imminent), and we can expect to be paying $2.00 a litre shortly!

I noticed one servo close to home selling E10 at $1.33 a litre when I drove past... but on the return trip, 90 minutes later... same servo, $1.67 for the same E10!

By the way... I paid $1.27.

I find Sydney prices way overpriced! I can believe they will go to $2 and try and get away with it. Annoying! thanks for the heads up FY50 Reply

I think it is about time that petrol stations right across Tasmania, stop over charging on fuel, as now we have instant pricing checks, on the new state Government petrol app. Reply

I paid $139.9 cent a liter today but to fill up the car it only costed me $14 as I do not drive that far these days, thats all I used in 2 weeks Reply

Not surprised in the slightest. Petrol price in the USA has jumped by more than 33% since January, not that it would be reported here, but it is only the start since dems are now buying from overseas again, which is also forcing our oil prices up. Reply

Yes when it comes to filling up the car with Petrol/Diesel you always have to keep a close eye on the Bowser Prices. We will all just have to be careful and keep a close eye on the prices. $2.00 litre is not good. I remember the days when it was under $1.00 a litre. Reply
