Book Review - Shoe Dog by Phil Knight

Phil Knight is the creator of Nike and this book recreates all the trials and tribulations he had to get his idea up and off the ground in 1962 and up to the present day. Although I found it hard going in the beginning, at the end I found it hard to put this book down. I do hope his ideals are continued to be lived up to as the world will be a much better place if they are. To say more would ruin the book for those who hopefully will read it and I feel it should be a definite read for anyone who wishes to go into business as it will certainly help them to keep going in the face of adversity. Would love to hear what others think of this one.

Cilly, never read it but will get it as I feel, like you said, it would be good for those starting up a business. I was thinking of my granddaughter, even though she is still young. It sounds a very positive book and one that, I feel, the young should read as well. Thanks for this. Good topic! Reply

The book is reviewed by people like Andre Agassi, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, to name a few, and it is quite an amazing story which leads to his ultimate success. Reply
