#Happy Hour26 My favourite Summertime Recipe is:

The thing I make most in summer is a Blueberry and Raspberry smoothie, it is refreshing on the hottest off days and gives you a pick me up that is to be believed.

I use fresh raspberries and blueberries. I buy them by the punnet when they are on special and in season and freeze them. You don't take them out off the punnet just make sure you put them in a freezer bag as is to stop freezer burn, they blend really well and you don't need any ice.

The recipe I use makes around 3 glasses I drink one and keep the rest in the fridge for later.

1/2 cup water
3/4 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon shaved almonds
1 punnet of blueberries
1 punnet of raspberries
dash of water

Place ingredients in blender in order I have written and blend.

I might also add that I sometimes add a few dried cranberries as well.

This was originally a recipe I found in a book but I have changed it to suit myself, so have fun with it but I always use the blueberries and raspberries and I used to use frozen ones but I don't anymore.

Comment if you wish.
