Prevention Magazine. Hold that thought!

If you believe price matters when it comes to exchanging gifts, then think again. The old 'thought that counts' rule still stands, says a
new US study. Researchers set out to understand gift-giving dynamics and how the perceived value of a gift is influenced by the other offerings the recipient receives and found that they were consistently focused on the thoughtfulness of a present. Gift givers, however, incorrectly assumed recipients' focus would be on gift value.

Something to think about when making your Christmas list! I must admit to knowing one person who checks the price of everything that he receives, which I have become to accept but at first found it to be very rude. lol.

I have always treasured the thought that goes into a present and I love using that thought and my heart to lead me to the perfect gift for others, hopefully. Reply

Well I thought about buying you a present but Thought better of it
As the person you mentioned who price checks I'd be more than a tad miffed Though if he'd been annoying me prior to gift buying time It'd be a cheap gift with price tag attached
