Cruising is Back in Australia.

Do you ever go Cruising? Will you go on a Cruise now that they are going again? If you do not like Cruising, what is your favourite/least favourite holiday? I have been on one Cruise and would love to go again.

Not a fan as such, but we did choose to do the inside passage trip to Alaska. We went on a smaller ship in a large balcony room, fascinating to wake up to nature right outside your bedroom window.
As for cruising at sea for long periods, not for me I am afraid.

I went from Sydney to Hobart a few times, then Sydney to Brisbane, Brisbane to Gladstone and finally The Whitsundays for the races up there which where always great.
Personally you would never get me on the evolution of the Titanic as they are so poorly designed that an iceberg is the least of their worries. Look at the picture of the one above and imagine it in less than ideal weather rolling 30 degrees in each direction with it's maxaninum Ballast filling the below water tanks which these things never have because that increases the amount of fuel they burn to get where they are going.

We considered and looked into one of those European river cruises a few years back but never got around to it, probably wont now. Never wanted to go on one of those giant cattle/sheep carrying lookalike ships before and won't be now either.

Not before or after Covid, prone to lots of gastro outbreaks, it's like a floating RSL. I get sea sickness, not a way to spend a holiday for me.

I would love to do it again. Love cruising. Not at the moment of course but it would have to be seriously monitored as for hygiene.
